Two small houses in the volcanic silence of Lanzarote
Now Open
We will be welcoming guests from September '26

A Place to Arrive.
A Place to Slow Down.
Finca Sun and Finca Moon are two small houses we designed and built ourselves with a great team — set in a shared garden growing slowly into a jungle, powered entirely by the Lanzarote sun, and opened with the hope of sharing something we love with people who feel the same way.
Solar powered
Powered entirely by the Lanzarote sun. Self-sufficient in energy — almost entirely. We believe in treading lightly on a landscape we love.
Hosts on site
We live here. Not in your way — but close enough if you need us. A home shared, not a property managed.
Growing garden
All three houses — ours included — share one garden. It still needs to grow into a jungle. Come back in five years and you won’t recognise it.
Finca

Sun

Finca sun
The view from the sofa.
Wake up and look out at volcanic fields, ancient lava walls and the ocean from the living room. Finca Sun invites you to linger and let your gaze wander.

On a calm day, nowhere better.
Even better views from the rooftop terrace - on those perfectly, still days. For everyday living, enjoy the sheltered terrace below.

Finca Moon
Let the sun wake you up
Wake up with the first rays of sunshine through the bedroom window. The sea is still calm, the island slowly coming to life.

Private rooftop · Starlight Reserve
On a calm night, the stars are something else.
Lanzarote is a Starlight Reserve. On the rooftop, the Milky Way is not a metaphor.

Outdoor Living
A cosy place to relax.
Thanks to Lanzarote’s year-round mild climate, life is often lived outdoors. Even in winter, there are plenty of days to enjoy your coffee on the terrace in the sunshine.
We built this with our hands.
For three years we designed, sourced, and built these two houses with a great team — not to create a business, but to share a place we love. Every stone was laid with care. Every detail reflects something we believe in.

We’re not a hotel. We’re two people — Cornelia from Switzerland, Gunnar from Germany — who fell in love with this volcanic corner of the world and are still building our own home here, next door, surrounded by a garden slowly becoming what we imagined.
The names come from yogic tradition — Surya and Chandra, the sun and moon channels. We have both practised for years. It felt right.

Still growing into a jungle.
Finca Sun, Finca Moon and our own home share one garden. We planted it with intention — local species, slow-growing, suited to volcanic soil and the Atlantic wind. Right now it’s young. Come back in five years and you won’t recognise it.
The garden is where the three houses breathe together. Where morning coffee and evening light happen. Where guests sometimes find us.
Solar powered
All three houses run on solar energy — self-sufficient in power, and working toward it in everything else. Not a marketing line. Just how we think things should be done.

Tinajo · Lanzarote
A quiet corner of the world.
Not a tourist guide. It’s what we love about where we live — and what we think you might love too.
